The Gap Retreat respects your privacy. This page explains, plainly, what information we collect, how we use it, and how to get in touch if you have questions.

What we collect

When you fill in our contact or enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message. When you book a cabin, your booking details are handled by our reservation provider, RoomManager, under their own terms.

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. Analytics uses cookies and stores anonymised information about your device and visit. We don't link this back to you personally.

How we use it

Form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry. We don't add you to mailing lists without permission, sell your details, or share them with third parties for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are retained for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any follow-up. Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention settings.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time, or ask what we have on file. Email info@thegapretreat.com.au and we'll handle it.

You can also block analytics cookies via your browser settings or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Third-party services

This site uses or links to a small number of external services: Google Analytics (analytics), Google Maps (embedded maps on the Location and Contact pages), and RoomManager (bookings). Each has its own privacy policy that governs the data they collect.

Updates

If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top of this page. Substantive changes will be flagged on the home page for a short period.
